The ocean is vast in physicality and in time. Feel the breeze.

The world is always in flux. Just like each wave that forms and crashes on the shores; every conflict has its own composition with its own unique elements.

Yes, conflicts can be scary, disruptive, harmful… But Ride The Wave understands the generative and possibility lending nature conflict spaces give us as well. We are given so much information about where we are, what we want and who we want to be. But in order to move to where we want to be we have to build skill, awareness and identify purpose. So come practice/ learn/move with us. Be brave and ride the wave.

About Wind

they/them identifies as a Bundist Jew, Brown, Latine, Transmasculine, Non-binary,
Transnational/Transracial Adoptee.

Wind is a mentor mediator, certified by the Supreme Court of Virginia, who has experience mediating landlord-tenant, small claims, workplace and community cases. They are certified as a restorative justice practitioner facilitating cases involving youth. Wind is also trained as an Ombudsperson through the Northern Virginia Long-Term Care Ombuds Program which focuses on just treatment in elder care at assisted living facilities. Additionally, Wind has a B.A. in conflict analysis and resolution from The Carter School at George Mason University.

Over the years, Wind has worked to build community at the intersections of Latine, QTBIPOC, and Jewish people. They have been an advocate and organizer for Reproductive, Voting and Immigration Justice. They have developed and led trainings to mobilize community responses to ICE raids. They collaborated with Showing Up for Racial Justice in Northern Virginia (SURJ NOVA) to provide coaching sessions for members who wanted to engage in conversations with friends and family on social, racial and economic justice.

In their spare time Wind creates wicked collages, enjoys taking deep breaths in nature and is learning the guitar solo to Stairway to Heaven.
